Dai Ichi Arts is delighted to present “Object, Vessel: Ikebana Sogetsu, Yasuhara Kimei, and the Art of Japanese ceramics”. This show is the first ever exhibition in the West to present Yasuhara Kimei’s ceramic works, showing the gallery’s commitment to presenting the heart of Modern and Contemporary Japanese ceramics. The exhibition focuses on companionship between the ceramic works of Japanese potter Yasuhara Kimei and the Ikebana Sogetsu school in Japan.
This accompanying exhibition catalog features essays by Japanese art curators Kazuko Todate (Professor, Faculty, Tama Art University) & Russell Kelty (Curator, Asian Art, Art Gallery of South Australia).
