Dai Ichi Arts is delighted to announce that Gallery artist Higashida Shigemasa has been published in the autumn 2023 issue of Honoho Geijutsu (The Art of Fire), a quarterly journal on Japanese ceramics and Kogei.
The journal was first published in 1982, and mainly introduces contemporary Japanese ceramic art and Kosei culture. This issue presents the art of Mino, mainly Oribe-yaki and the modern & contemporary artists assosicated with the technique.
The platter below recalls oceanic kelp forests, the nacreous textures of an oyster shell, or a vast and windy grass field.
