Shimizu Keiichi 清水圭一 Japanese, b. 1962

Biography:  Shimizu Uichi is a Fourth Generation Tamba potter who has a vital work ethic and sense of leadership in the Tamba community that shines through in the dignified work he produces. His work blends geometric and abstract forms with traditional Tamba clay. He draws inspiration from the works of contemporary potters: Shoji Kamoda, Kiyoyuki Kato, and Sueharu Fukami.
